The listing description was very accurate, with the exception of the kitchen it is brand new! Everything was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The electricity is 220 so if you are coming from the US you will need convertors. The bathrooms all had hairdryers. Another plus was when the remodeled they added a washer/dryer which was very nice to have being there for 10 days. Unlike most of the the villas in Terres Basses Santa Clara's Bedrooms all join the main house rather than the more common Pod type, so I would not have a problem staying here with kids. The villa is very close to Baie Longue, Plum Bay, Baie Rouge, and Cupecoy are all within 5 mins by car. Overall it was a great rental we had three couples and the all had plenty of privacy and room. We would rent it again.
Spacious & well-maintained villa on 3 acres of beautiful gardens. Exactly as depicted on the internet photos. Private and secure, yet close to beaches, restaurants, grocery, airport and other attractions. Especially enjoyed the pool and the private beach only minutes away. Great French restaurant, Le Bateau Ivre, only 5-6 minutes away in Copecoy Marina. Would highly recommend to family, friends & others.
Our December 2013 stay at Villa Santa Clara included two grandparents, two children with spouses and two grandchildren (ages 2 and 2.5 years). The large living room space and the three large bedrooms were perfect for us. he outdoor space with the pool was excellent and the gazebo even better. I spent most of my time in the gazebo where the constant light breezes were wonderful. The villa is everything the advertisement says and I would definitely recommend it. In fact, I already have recommended it others where I work.
The Villa is just as it appears in the photos, even better. The property is very well maintained with lots of flowers and large mature trees. The villa is close to great restaurants and beaches. I highly recommend the Bluebeard catamaran to Anguilla, a day trip from Simpson Bay. The pool was a great treat each day after our activities. The grill works very, but is gas and very small. The kitchen, I am a chef, was well supplied if you like cooking, all appliances were brand new and includes a dishwasher. The bathrooms were all fine, including nice large bath towels. The beds are all king and found to be acceptable. The interior is wonderful, especially when the windows and doors are all open. The private beach is very private and you will be on your own!! Sun sets were great over the ocean. Over all this was a wonderful Villa, Do take a trip around the island there are so many wonderfu; beaches and restaurants. You will not be sorry to stay at Villa Santa Clara and I recommend you do. This has nothing to do with the Villa, but just beware a trip through Marigot will take some time due to street construction adding to traffic.
We recently spent 8 nights at Villa Santa Clara.....what a great house!! It is as beautiful as the pictures. The pool, deck, and cabana area are fantastic. We spent many hours at home enjoying the pool and the fabulous sunsets. The bedrooms are great - all king sized and very comfortable. The shower in the garden bedroom is fantastic!! The location is great too. Very close to Marigot (Simply grocery store is about 10 minutes away). Grand Case (all the great restaurants) is about 15-20 minutes away. When eating dinner at home, we ate outside. And the living area was very comfortable (great sectional). Cannot recommend this house enough. Oh yeah, the landscaping/gardens are beautiful too. And the access to the beach (Baie Longue) is awesome (short drive, 5 minutes. you could walk but I wouldn't really want to). Gorgeous beach - very few people (in May anyway) near La Samanna hotel (we had breakfast there and it was really good). Great trip and can't wait to get back to the lovely island of St. Martin!!!!
We loved the house and had a great visit. We would defintely go back again. We had three couples staying there and it worked out great. St. Martin has the best restaurants of any island! Rendez-vous Lounge and Aux Quatre Vents at the new marina in Cupecoy were two of our favorites. Also Mario's Bistro, Ma Ti, and Layla's (great for lunch) near Sandy Ground are great. The new restaurant Le Sand is also really good and right on the beach. The new marina in Cupecoy is great but we still love Marigot and Grand Case! Visitors from the USA need to be aware that the electrical is 220 (European) and you need to bring a convertor for phones, computers, etc. There were hairdryers there so that isn't a problem. Also there is a washing machine but no dryer so some extra clothes would be handy. It looks just like the pictures and is in a great location!
